Terms And Conditions Of Booking

a) Prices – All prices listed are on a per traveler basis unless otherwise stated. All prices are correct at the time of quoting, converted at the prevailing foreign exchange rate as set by A Taste of Hanoi. The rate will float on a daily basis in line with international currency movements. Prices are inclusive of all included tour features as listed on the tour description page on the A Taste of Hanoi website www.atasteofhanoi.com . The tour prices on the web site and draft quotes are listed as ‘From’ and are subject to currency exchange, availability, seasonal fluctuations and inflation. Due to covid issues and supply chain issues resulting in supplies within and around SouthEast Asia could affect our future prices we can offer clients throughout the year, The prices are purely for a guide.

b) Price changes — Prices shown on the website are the current rates and can change without notice. Once a traveler has booked a tour, the traveler will not be required to pay any difference in the event of a price increase. A Taste of Hanoi tourist company will not refund the balance of any price reduction.

c) Child pricing

1-We require the minimum age of the child to be 6 years or older, to join in the tours.   The child price will vary per each tour and activity please refer to each tour page to check for the cost of the child rate.

2- For private tours, children aged 0-3 years old are free of charge, while children 3-10 years old will be required to pay 75% of the prevailing adult rate.  Per private tour costs will vary and the child price will be confirmed at the time of the booking.

3- Child prices are applicable for ages 10 years old and below; above that age the adult price will be applied.

d) Prices & Exchange rates – Prices are correct at the time of quoting, converted at the prevailing foreign-exchange rate as set by A Taste of Hanoi. The rate will float on a daily basis in line with international currency movements.

3. Exclusions:

The price of your trip does not include the following:

Tips and gratuities — If you are pleased with the services provided by transportation operators, local guides and A Taste of Hanoi Tour Partners please feel free to tip them accordingly.  A tip is greatly appreciated – though not compulsory. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your tour, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many A Taste of Hanoi destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this trip.

It is certainly not compulsory and our A Taste of Hanoi tour guides will never pressure anyone into tipping, however, a small token of appreciation can make a huge difference to the people helping you explore this wonderful country.

Personal Items — Some of these items may include snacks, souvenirs, drinks, entertainment, meals and other extra activities not covered by the tour.

Insurance — Travel insurance is highly recommended for all those joining A Taste of Hanoi tour or services.

Local taxes and fees — Unless otherwise stated, the price does not include any local taxes or fees, including foreign departure, security, port charges, park fees, customs, immigration, agricultural, passenger-facility charges, or international transportation tax.

Credit cards — A Taste of Hanoi accepts the following credit cards for payment:

Credit card service fee — A Taste of Hanoi does not charge traveler’s service fee on credit card payments; however, our bank accounts are domiciled in USD. Some banks have been known to charge their customers a small fee for what they see as an international transaction. Please check with your bank prior to purchase if this will affect your payment. There is a 3% charge for some local credit card transactions which will be incurred by the payee for international credit card usage in Vietnam.

4.2- A) Bank transfer– Please instruct your bank to pay all bank fees, please note that we may accept bank transfers from our USD or VND bank accounts. Please note All bank service charges (as may be applied by your bank and intermediary bank) are borne by the payer. Failure to do so may cause incomplete transactions and will be deemed not fully paid for the stated tour.

B)  Transfer wise app– Transfer wise.com payments can be made. The fee for use of transfer wise will be charged to the payee. (wise.com)

C)  xe.com app- payments can be made. The fee for use of transfer wise will be charged to the payee.

D) Price currency– Our prices are quoted in USD. Hotel rates are quoted per room per night. Tour and other services are quoted on a per person basis. Single supplements will apply to individual travelers wishing to stay in a single room on a trip.

4.3 Payment due — Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing with an authorized representative of A Taste of Hanoi, full payment for the chosen tour or activity must be made at the time of booking.

4.4 Deposits– Are required for all multi day tours booked 3 to 6 months ahead or further. Upon confirmation of a reservation, you are required to pay a deposit of 30% of the tour cost within confirmation of the approved tour program. Additional deposits are required for certain services or at certain peak dates. We will advise you of this at the time of processing your booking. The rest of the package tour price should be paid not less than 60-45 days prior to commencement of tour.

If a booking is requested less than 45 days prior to the arrival date and confirmed, full payment is required before booking is processed, and confirmed by A Taste of Hanoi.

5.1 Cancellations by the traveler

a) Cancellation fees – Cancellation fees may apply to any cancellations by the traveler of a service provided by A Taste of Hanoi tourist Company. Unless otherwise specified, the cancellation policy is as follows:

We must receive your cancellation notice in written consent, and your cancellation date will be the date on which we receive your notice, Hanoi time zone.

Cancellations may apply to any services provided by A Taste of Hanoi. Unless otherwise specified, the cancellation policy is as below:

Cancellations received fewer than 48 hours prior to the reservation will be charged in full. Cancellations made fewer than 24 hours prior will also incur a cancellation fee charged in full.

b) This cancellation policy applies to all tours unless otherwise stated under individual tour T&C.

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to travel receive an 85% refund.

Cancellations made between 30 to 8 days prior to travel receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made between 5 to 8 days prior to travel receive a 25% refund.

Cancellations made 48 hours or less prior to travel require the traveler to pay for the tour in full, and no refund will be issued.

c) Unused portions of tours – No refund is provided for any unused portion of a tour, including the entire tour in the event a traveler does not commence at the designated start point of the tour.

5.2 Cancellations by A Taste of Hanoi:

A Taste of Hanoi reserves the right to alter, amend, postpone or cancel any of the tours due to unfavorable conditions in which safety, health or welfare of our traveler’s or staff are in concern, as well as any and all natural disasters, i.e. flooding or earthquake. If a tour is canceled, we will make every effort to find a replacement/alternative tour. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control, refunds will be less than any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking, including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, or non-refundable flights.

Please note that additional charges may apply for such alternative tours and you will be advised accordingly of all such charges before having to make any selection. In the occasion where no replacement/alternative is available, a full refund will be reimbursed. Our liability of such a refund is limited to your full payments to us.

5.3 Changes to bookings by the traveler:

If a traveler wants to make changes to an existing booking, they must cancel the original booking and create a new one. It is recommended that travelers inform A Taste of Hanoi promptly if they intend to cancel or change their tour. The prices for the new booking will be determined at the time the new booking is made. Cancellation fees may apply (see section 5.1). Alternatively, travelers can contact A Taste of Hanoi directly to arrange a tour change.

5.4 Amendments to itineraries by A Taste of Hanoi:

A Taste of Hanoi strives to deliver the tour as described on its website, atasteofhanoi.com. While the itinerary provided for each tour reflects the planned activities, it is subject to alteration without prior notice due to local events or circumstances. In the event of a major change to the itinerary before departure, we will inform you as soon as possible. We also reserve the right to modify the itinerary after departure due to unforeseeable events or circumstances beyond our control.

a) Confirmation — Upon receipt of full payment, A Taste of Hanoi Tourist company will issue a voucher via email for the booked tour. This should arrive within 24 hours (usually immediately). If a confirmation email has not been received please contact A Taste of Hanoi representative as soon as possible.

b) Vouchers — The lead traveler must present the original voucher issued by A Taste of Hanoi tourist Company at the start of the tour. A Taste of Hanoi reserved the right to refuse service to any travelers not able to provide their voucher to their guide at the beginning of the tour.

7.1 The Traveler’s confirmation:

It is advised that the main traveler gets in touch with the A Taste of Hanoi local tour partner 24 hours before the tour commences to verify the tour’s departure status. The contact details of A Taste of Hanoi’s local tour partner can be found on the voucher issued to you.

7.2 Being on time:

A)Tour participants must arrive on time and reach the designated tour start point 15 minutes before the tour starts to avoid any delays. In case of delay, the tour operator will consider the traveler a “no show,” and the tour will begin without them, and no refund will be provided. The tour start points are specified in the tour details and confirmation voucher. If the tour includes a pick-up service, the pick-up times are listed in the tour information, and the traveler should be present in the lobby of their pick-up point during the specified pick-up times. If a pick-up is included in the tour, the times the service will be provided are listed in the product information and on the tour program  (for example, 4:00pm-4:30pm). The traveler

should wait in the lobby of their pick-up point during the designated pick-up times.

B) Late arrivals: A Taste of Hanoi and our local Partner/ partners will allow a 15-20 minute grace period for a guest to contact the office regarding troubles locating starting points.  After that 20 minutes, should a guest not arrive that guest is considered a no show for the tour or activity.

In the event that a guest must begin the tour at a later point than the designated start time, or depart before the end of the tour, no portion of the tour price is refunded for the unused portion of the tour.

Tour participants are expected to be on time and arrive at the designated tour start point early in order to avoid unnecessary delays. If you, and/or your party, are late, A Taste Of Hanoi Tourist Company and or our tour Partners will consider the traveler to be a “no show” and the tour will start without them and no refund will be provided. The following start point(s) are outlined in the tour information and on the confirmation voucher:

C) Pick-up:  If a pick-up is included in the tour, the times the service will be provided are listed in the product information and on the voucher (for example 4.15 to 4.30am). The traveler should wait in the lobby of their pick-up point during the designated pick-up times.

7.3 Meeting point :

The tour will have a designated start time at a meeting point, usually stated as a specific time such as 8:00 am. Travelers are advised to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time to ensure prompt departure.

7.4 Your responsibility:

During the tour, each traveler is responsible for their own behavior and actions. If a traveler behaves in a way that is considered offensive, unsafe, or disruptive to the tour group’s enjoyment, the tour operator has the right to remove them from the tour. No refund will be given in such cases. You must also abide by the laws, customs, foreign exchange rules, and drug regulations of all the countries you visit during the tour. Furthermore, you agree to adhere to our responsible travel guidelines.

7.5 Acceptance of risk:

You understand that your participation in the tour may entail certain personal risks. Some destinations on the itinerary may pose greater physical or safety challenges than what you encounter in your everyday life. The tour operator relies on information from government foreign departments and their own sources to determine the viability of a tour. Nevertheless, it is your responsibility to be aware of all pertinent travel information. By opting to join the tour, you acknowledge that you have evaluated this information and are aware of the personal risks associated with traveling to these locations.

8. Authority of trip:

Our trips are run by a group leader. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveler or staff member participating in the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our Responsible Travel Guidelines.

No Illegal drug use/ prostitution while on tour is permitted.

The lead traveler is responsible to provide accurate information during the booking process. A Taste of Hanoi reserves the right to cancel any bookings if inaccurate information is provided including (but not exclusive to):

–              Traveler name(s) As appears on his/her passport

–              Traveler birth date(s)

–              Hotel details (pick up details)

–              Email address

– Contact Phone number/ Whats app number:

–              Travel insurance

a) Age requirements:

General Policy: Unless specified, the minimum age for the majority of our tours is 6 years old. Children under age of 6 will only be allowed if they are accompanied by parents or guardians and have to inform A Taste of Hanoi when the tour is first booked.

All travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for the child’s day to day care. Please refer to the individual policy of tours from A Taste of Hanoi.

b) Maximum:

General Policy: We have no age limit for most of our tours although some of the tours may require a minimum level of physical fitness. You are responsible for your own physical condition and A Taste of Hanoi shall not be held liable to any undeclared medical condition and reserves the right to remove you from the Tour, at your own expense, if your condition could create a hazard to you or others, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other participants. If older than the age of 70 years old; For Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City Tour –: A certification of fitness from your local doctor is required for clients above the age of 70.

c)  ACTIVE ELEMENTS & FITNESS TO TRAVEL:

Some of our tours may require a certain level of physical fitness from the travelers, and it is important to ensure that you are capable of participating. We can provide information about any necessary health requirements, but please note that we are not medical professionals. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good physical condition for the tour.

All participants of A Taste of Hanoi tours or activities, including those conducted by A Taste of Hanoi partners, are obligated to possess valid and extensive travel insurance. A Taste of Hanoi Tourist Company and A Taste of Hanoi tour partners cannot be held accountable for any expenses, losses, or liability arising from inadequate insurance coverage. We highly advise purchasing a comprehensive travel insurance policy at the time of booking.

When traveling with A Taste of Hanoi and any local A Taste of Hanoi Partners, it is essential that travelers carry a valid passport and the necessary visas, except for domestic travel. It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport remains valid for at least six months beyond the duration of the trip and that you possess the correct visas for your vacation. Please note that A Taste of Hanoi Tourist company and local A Taste of Hanoi Tour Partners cannot be held responsible if you are denied entry to a country due to insufficient visa documentation.

A Taste of Hanoi shall not be liable for any claims whatsoever unless full particulars in writing are given to A&K within thirty (30) days after the Guest completes the Journey. Legal proceedings to recover on any claim whatsoever other than for personal injury, illness or death shall not be maintainable unless commenced within six (6) months after the date Guest completes the Journey, and unless served upon A Taste of Hanoi within 120 days after commencement. Guest expressly waives all other potentially applicable state or federal limitation periods for claims which include, but are not limited to, allegations concerning any and all civil rights,  trade practices and/or advertising.

If you have a complaint regarding your A Taste of Hanoi tour program, please notify your tour leader or representative from the A Taste of Hanoi tour Partner as soon as possible. If you wish to escalate your complaint, please submit it in writing to A Taste of Hanoi tourist company within 30 days of completing your tour. Any complaints received after this time period will not be taken into consideration.

By joining the A Taste of Hanoi tour, you agree to allow us to utilize any photographs or images of you that are taken during the tour for advertising and promotional purposes. This consent includes the granting of a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes in any medium we deem appropriate.

When using www.atasteofhanoi.com, as well as any distributors or affiliates of A Taste of Hanoi, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

By engaging with A Taste of Hanoi Tourist company, you agree to do so for lawful purposes only.

While traveling with A Taste of Hanoi tourist company or any local A Taste of Hanoi Tours Partners, you agree to use our services solely for personal purposes and not for your own personal commercial gain. Furthermore, you agree not to engage in any fraudulent activity.

We may collect your personal information for the purpose of managing your A Taste of Hanoi tour and sending you promotional materials related to our events and special deals. Your personal details may be shared with our agents, service providers, or other suppliers who assist us in operating your tour. We will handle your information in compliance with our privacy policy.

a) A Taste of Hanoi tourist company and all A Taste of Hanoi Tours Partners shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity to person or property that may arise during the tour.

b) A Taste of Hanoi tourist Company and A Taste of Hanoi Tours Partners shall not be held accountable for any illnesses, criminal activities, labor disputes, government interventions, war and/or terrorism acts, weather conditions, transportation vehicle defects, or any other circumstances beyond their control.

c) A Taste of Hanoi tourist company strives to provide accurate information, but does not guarantee that the content and information on www.atasteofhanoi.com will be error-free or that the website’s functionality will be uninterrupted.

d) A Taste of Hanoi will not take responsibility or liability for any traveler who violates any laws, statutes, or regulations of any country visited during the tour.

You are responsible for defending and indemnifying A Taste of Hanoi Tourist Company, all A Taste of Hanoi Tours Partners, and their employees against any claims, demands, losses, damages, fines, penalties, or other costs or expenses arising from:

a) Your violation of this agreement or any documents referred to in this agreement

b) Your infringement of any laws or the rights of any third party; and/or

c) Your use of the website, or any other A Taste of Hanoi Tourist Company affiliate websites. You must also pay for any reasonable legal and accounting fees incurred by A Taste of Hanoi Tourist Company or its partners as a result of such claims.

If any provision in this contract is deemed unenforceable or void due to being against public policy, operation of law, or any other reason, then that provision shall be considered severed or amended to the extent necessary for the remaining provisions to continue as binding and enforceable.
