Start The War Tour Of Hanoi
Get picked up by your tour guide and drivers from your hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Our guide will tell you the best way to sit on the back of the scooter for a safe and enjoyable tour. We then head out to a great spot to check out the classic black market of Hanoi made famous during the Vietnam war era. The Hanoi bazaar is incredibly crazy with the zig-zag markets. You will be absolutely surprised!

Our first stop takes us to the infamous Hanoi black market, a bustling market that became notorious during the Vietnam War. The Hanoi bazaar is a chaotic maze of zig-zagging alleyways, filled with local vendors selling everything from food to wartime relics. Former French Military Base (Subject to availability)
Next, we’ll visit the former French military base, a critical site in the Battle of Hanoi that ignited the French Indochina War. Learn about the dramatic history and significance of this battle, which played a pivotal role in shaping the region’s future. The B52 lake
Here we share with you the story about what happened during the bombing campaign called Operation Linebacker II. One of the B52 bombers was shot down and crashed into the lake, a powerful reminder of the intensity of the conflict. This poignant stop offers deep insights into the war’s devastating impact.
The Story of John McCain’s Capture
As we continue, we’ll share the story of John McCain, the American presidential candidate who was shot down over Hanoi and captured during the war. He was held as a prisoner of war for five years. This tale provides a personal connection to the war, showing the human side of the conflict from a different perspective.
Lunch Break: Vintage Hanoi Dining Experience
We will visit a very unique restaurant, with a vintage feel, circa wartime back in the 1960’s.
